Biography

Martin Mooney was born in Belfast in 1960. He studied at the University of Ulster Faculty of Art and Design, Brighton Polytechnic College of Art and Design and the Slade School of Fine Art. He won many awards such as the Richard Ford Award and the George Campbell Memorial Grant. His work has been exhibited in Dublin, Belfast, London, Barcelona, Toronto and New York. Mooney travels a lot and the places he visits inspire him to paint. His still life's are produced from his imagination and are not real objects.
